The Kootenai County Police and Fire Memorial Foundation, Inc.  was founded in 2005 as a result of a serious injury to a City of Coeur d'Alene police officer who engaged an armed suspect. Due to the officer's subsequent surgical and rehabilitation requirements, it became evident that the officer and his family required financial assistance beyond their ability to pay for such services.

This foundation has been formed with the intent of providing free financial grants to local law enforcement and fire personnel operating within Kootenai County who are killed or disabled in the line of duty.

The Kootenai County Police and Fire Memorial Foundation, Inc. operates solely with financial and other donations provided by law enforcement and fire personnel as well as the citizens of Kootenai County. (Our start-up funding was provided by a select group of local donors.)

3rd Annual Golf Tournament - Dinner & Auction

Our third major fund-raiser will be conducted on Friday, August 15, 2008. This event will feature a golf tournament at the Avondale Golf Course in Hayden Lake. The tournament will be followed by a dinner and brief auction.

Participation for this event will be limited to 144 golfers with the opportunity to win a car and boat for hole-in-one performances at selected locations on the course. In order to keep operating expenses to a minimum, we are looking for organizations to make financial and/or product donations.
