On July 27, 2009, a fundraiser was held at Capone's Pub & Grill, in Post Falls.  The fundraiser was organized by owners Tom and Teresa Capone in appreciation for the work of the first responders in Kootenai County.  There was standing room only for this event.

Bryan Williams, Kootenai County Fire & Rescue firefighter worked with the Capone's to coordinate a very successful raffle that combined with Capone's donation netted over $3,200.  All monies raised were donated to the Kootenai County Police & Fire Memorial Foundation, Inc.  Thank you Tom & Teresa Capone and a special thanks to Bryan Williams and his hard charging fire fighter assistants
