The Kootenai County Police and Fire Memorial Foundation, Inc.  was founded in 2005 as a result of a serious injury to a City of Coeur d'Alene police officer who engaged an armed suspect. Due to the officer's subsequent surgical and rehabilitation requirements, it became evident that the officer and his family required financial assistance beyond their ability to pay for such services.

This foundation has been formed with the intent of providing free financial grants to local law enforcement and fire personnel operating within Kootenai County who are killed or disabled in the line of duty.

Our Mission
The mission of the Kootenai County Police and Fire Memorial Foundation., is to receive contributions from the public and to provide the funds for the maintenance and support of police officers and firefighters of Kootenai County who have been injured in the line of duty and for the maintenance and support of widows and orphans of those police officers and firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty.
